Futsal

It's fun, it's fast, it's coming to the Winter Club!

For the next week Futsal will be on Wednesday evening then it will be on Thursday nights, 8:30pm-10pm, in the gym.

Futsal is indoor soccer without the use of walls.   We'll play in the gym, 4-v-4, using the basketball court lines for out-of-bounds, small goals, and no goalkeepers.  The futsal ball is a special ball.  It's a size 4 ball with very little bounce, therefore, it's friendly to the expensive lights in the gym.

Futsal is free to all members and $5 + a signed waiver for your guests!

Sign up for Futsal information and notifications by emailing Jeff Graham Jeff@LangsfordCenter.com

The Children's Theatre of CincinnatiChildren's Theatre
is dedicated to making the world a richer place in ways that truly matter. We feel that a moment of joy in the theater, a better understanding of history or literature through the arts, and a song that you cannot stop humming are small examples of how the arts can spur a child's learning process to new heights, creating a world that is more interesting, more accessible, and utterly fascinating. Helping a child have this experience is the goal that drives us.  Click Here for their website.

Ally Wagner

Are you concerned that late-night snacking is sabotaging your New Year's goal to eat healthier?

Contrary to myth, late-evening calories are no more likely to promote weight gain than calories eaten at other times of the day, and it won't wake you up if you're sleepy. The problem with late-night snacking is that you might not be eating due to hunger and you could find yourself eating more calories than you had planned.

If you normally eat an early dinner, you may be hungry before bedtime. A small snack to curb hunger is perfect, but it's important to avoid impulse eating.

  • When you find yourself wanting a snack at night, think about why: Is it hunger, boredom, anxiety, a habit?
  • Start eating dinner later.
  • Can't beat the late-night craving? Hold off on dessert until later in the evening.
  • Go to bed earlier. Eight hours of sleep gives you a mental edge to help control emotional eating any time of day.
