Congratulations!
The IHWC Division 4 women's paddle team won
both their division and their challenge match. Now they will
move to Division 3 next year.
They finished in 7th place in 2006-7 with a team made up of
players that had very little experience with the game. but
they won 7 out of 18 matches in that year.
In the 2007-8 season, they won 17 out of 18 matches with a
very small roster. Team members included: Annie Bathalter,
Lawre Bonekemper, Monica Brown, Deb Hallahan, Mary Vondrak
Kirk, Scottie Larson, Susan Peskin, Amy Quible, and Sally
Seiler.

Paddle Tennis at the IHWC!
Members are free to play paddle anytime...just call the club
to reserve a court or just come on down. Paddles are available
to rent at $5 per racquet. Rules Reminder: Please don't use
the court heaters to warm up. Heaters should only be used
to dry courts off. They are very expensive to run. Thank you
for your cooperation.
Join every Wed night for
informal round-robin for all skills... beginners to advanced.
First Wednesdays of the month will also feature an expert
for skills development and game strategy. Drop-ins welcome,
join the fun and meet up with broomball folks upstairs after
paddle. |
