Learn to Skate Program
 

The IHWC is proud to offer our skaters a superior skating program developed by U.S. Figure Skating. U.S. Figure Skating is the official national governing body of skating on ice. Formed in 1921, U.S. Figure Skating is one of the foremost skating associations worldwide and has developed many World and Olympic Champions. The U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program is an official program of U.S. Figure Skating and approved by the Professional Skaters Association (PSA), the recognized authority in coaching education and accreditation. Core objectives of the U.S. Figure Skating Learn to Skate Program at the IHWC are:

-Provide an enjoyable and safe skating experience
-Teach correct technique of basic elements
-Provide incentive rewards

-Develop social relationships through group instruction
-Encourage skating as a lifelong sport
