IHWC
4th of July Float
As you should know, each year your club enters an
unforgettable and highly acclaimed float in the Indian
Hill 4th of July parade. In order to retain freshness
of design, and focus, no one is allowed to even think
about the float until the evening before the parade.
Then, driven by some primal force and adult beverages,
a number of volunteers converge in the privacy of
the rink and design and construct another spectacular
entry.
This year Float Commander Tim
McKay will be in charge of herding the cats.
We understand that Kitsa
Rhoad will also be helping. We can always use
volunteers, so those interested in helping should
contact Tim or Kitsa. (rhoad@cinci.rr.com)
And this year on parade day we will be enlisting
our own children to show their skating/roller-blading/biking
skills dressed in figure skating/ hockey/ club regalia.
Contact Kevin (klord@ihwinterclub.com)
to sign them up.
We'll also need help
from adults. We will be making sno-cones and
handing them out to the crowd! Need lots of helping
sticky hands for this!

Congratulations City Champs! Men's
D3 Paddle Tennis defeated all pretenders to the Cincinnati
City Championship this week. Captained by Kevin
McClorey, other team members include Pete
Fovel, Brad Brockhoff, Russel Hirsch, Ed Hallihan,
Charlie Brown and Mark Gall.
This is the first team in Winter Club history to
play in a post-season tournament and we won!
